That’s how our story began—with a friendship.

Nearly 20 years ago, Kim launched her career as an architectural designer, and Marc began as a carpenter at a Charleston-based design-build remodeling firm. Over the years, they worked side by side, guiding homeowners through every step of the renovation process—from the first sketch to the final finish.

That foundation of trust and collaboration is the same one we bring to every project today. We believe your remodel shouldn't become your full-time job—that's ours. With decades of experience and a shared commitment to quality, we manage every detail so you can enjoy the process, not just the outcome.

Kim Williams

Kim Williams, brings deep expertise in design, operations, and management. Her passion for construction started early—growing up in the Florida Panhandle, she went from building with Legos and Lincoln Logs to dismantling vacuums and VCRs just to learn how they worked. That curiosity led her to Auburn University’s School of Architecture, and eventually to Charleston, where she began a 15-year career at Classic Remodeling. She now lives in Charleston’s Byrnes Downs neighborhood with her husband, Greg, and their Springer Spaniel, Frankie.

Head Builder

Marc Hinen

Marc Hinen, is a licensed builder with a practical, well-organized approach to construction. Originally from northern Indiana, Marc spent his childhood building forts and BMX jumps in the woods—an early glimpse of the craftsmanship to come. After earning a degree in recreation therapy from Indiana University, he moved to Charleston in 2004 and was immediately drawn to the city’s historic woodwork. Marc spent eight years honing his skills at a respected remodeling firm before earning his contractor’s license. Over the next decade, he specialized in bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor living spaces, and custom woodworking. On weekends, you’ll likely find Marc surfing or skating with his sons.
